Flowers: The Silent Messenger

Whenever somebody wants to put forth an expression in the best possible yet subtle way, the most overwhelming gesture would be giving a flower. There is a reason behind flowers being fondly labelled as the silent messengers. The fact of the matter is that the soothing effect that flowers have on us humans is unparalleled and cannot be matched by any other present or gift. They have a very sensual aura about them that induces a sense of joy and elation in us, a feeling that is hard to sink in and once done, does not let go of very easily which becomes a reason for feeling overwhelmed and special. After all, flowers are delicate and their delicate demeanour has that kind of effect on people.

Flowers have this innate ability of conveying messages in one of the most subtle yet effective ways. Flowers are a creation, an expression, a token and an idiom that have a deep meaning that cannot be gauged in words and have to be understood, felt right from the bottom of the heart where their real effect lies. Be it any expression, gifting a flower says it all and is enough a gesture to tell a person the flow of emotion running inside your pulse. Be it their creation or the way they are used, flowers have always been adored by people all over the world and since times immemorial, have been considered to be an expression of love, compassion and subtleness that has swept people off their feet.

Weddings, birthdays, graduations, engagements and many other occasions always see flowers being gifted. These flowers have an intriguing habit of telling stories and conveying emotions that otherwise might not be conveyed through a subtle gesture that goes right into the heart and creates an overwhelming impact that is indescribable through words or verbatim. Flowers are given out to couples who get married, to students who graduate with excellent marks and to those who celebrate birthdays. In all these gestures, there is a hidden feeling that can only be felt be the receiver as it was already palpitating inside the person giving the gift.

There are different types of flowers and all of them come with their own symbolic meanings. Red roses exemplify passion, beauty and love where as poppies are usually given in the Trans-Tasman region during somebody’s demise. Lilies are used during burials as a mark of respect to the person who will be living in memories forever and daisies signify innocence and purity. All these flowers come with their own beauty and have a lot to say. They have their own time and when given at the appropriate moment, they tend to cast a spell around the person which i extremely tough to dodge or let go off and the end result is that the receiver of the flowers will always fall for the charm imposed by the flowers.
